Phalaenopsis Orchids are very easy to care for. You need:
1) Lighting-Phalaenopsis orchids like low light but they grow better in morning sun. If you put them in more than 3 hours of direct sun it can scorch the leaves.
2) Watering- You will only need to water your Phalaenopsis once to twice a week. If your orchid is planted in moss, you will not need to water it more than once a week. If your orchid is planted in bark, it tends to dry out quicker and you will need to water it more often.
3) How to Bloom/Rebloom- To bloom or rebloom your orchid, you will need to either:
A. Cut back the flower spike after it is done blooming to the second or third node on the stem
B. Drop the night temperature by a few degrees. This usually tricks the plant into blooming.
**If the flower stalk dies back, cut it back at the base of the plant.
